Is it ever okay to test God?

Is it ever okay to test God?

Tests aren’t always the most fun to be a part of, but are we ever allowed to be the ones who administer them? Are we allowed to test God? If so, why would we test God?! In today’s episode, Cameron and Dr. J take a look at the role social media should play in the life of the believer before jumping into this question head first. And, our prayer, as always but particularly in this episode, is that you would walk away with a deeper trust and faith in Him.

02:45 — Should Christians be on social media?

08:18 — How much power does Satan really possess?

12:25 — We read in Deuteronomy 1:31, 34-35, “You saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place … And the Lord heard the sound of your words [of unbelief], and was angry, and took an oath, saying, ‘Surely not one of these men of this evil generation shall see that good land of which I swore to give to your fathers.'” So, God promised one thing, and changed His mind? I mean, I get it, they didn’t deserve the good land due to their evil ways, but once He promises one thing, He will change His mind?

15:54 — Why does God test us? Doesn’t He already know our hearts anyway?

18:31 — Should we ever test God? What does it mean to test God?

20:40 — Elsewhere in Scripture, we are told not to test the Lord. When is it wrong to test Him? How do we discern this?

21:22 — Is there a difference between trust and faith? Is it grammatical, or is it more than that?

23:18 — How can we learn to trust in the faithfulness of God in a deeper way?
